A little something from Mandee's Letter: "Three years ago I lost the love of my life to a stroke. He left me with 2 small children to raise on my own (now ages 3 & 4). I still look pregnant after having my children, my stomach along with the rest of my body has suffered from 2 c-sections and depression. aUGUST 20TH:
Even though I am sore...I have never felt better! |
August 23rd:
Free day but I couldn't just sit and be a couch potato like I used to be. I got the kids out on their bikes.
I worked in the yard...anything to get me moving. I am loving this feeling!

August 25th:
I have more energy that I have had in years! My scale is changing and my measuring tape is changing! It is exciting!
It is so different than the fad diets I have done; my skin is firming up as the weight drops. I actually believe that somewhere
underneath this weight is a body I could really be proud of.

Sept 1st:
Today was an hour plus cardio day. Some days of cardio are harder than others, but once I pass
the 15min mark,I feel great! Today was one of those days.

Sept 5th:
Saturdays have become one of my favorite workout days. I do BodyPump and Spin Class back to back. I have met some
encouraging women/men in both of these classes. We have shared stories and more than anything, they have given me even
more motivation. So, this makeover is more than physical, it is mental/emotional too! I love the socializing!

Sept 10th:
WOW, today was a surprise weigh in day. I was a bit nervous but I lost another 6lbs. Total of 17.5lbs! Now, that has me
excited and extremely pumped up!!! I am looking forward to Mondays assessment to see if my arms have changed any.
I have been
working them extremely hard and hoping for good results.

Saturday, Sept 26th
Okay, so I just have to tell you today was an awesome day for me. I accomplished a goal that I had never thought possible. I completed my FIRST ever 5K. Yep, that’s right! Mandee Coursey did a 5K! Who would have ever thought it? lol This was an awesome feeling for me. Something I have never experience before. I have always been a weight juggler but never “fit” enough to do anything like this before. I hadn’t really practiced on the treadmill. I have always HATED jogging. But because of my stamina building up so much over the past couple of weeks, I had the endurance to complete. I actually jogged at least half of the 5k. This started putting the belief back in me that I can accomplish any goal I set my mind too. And one of the first things I had to do after the 5k was text my trainer Felisha. I owe a lot to her and Energy Fitness!

Monday, Sept 28th
OH, I did not feel good today. I was to meet with Felisha at 930am this morning but my body was hurting from sinus/allergies problems. I had to listen to my body. So, I call Felisha and told her that I thought I would not be best for me to come in this morning. As the day went along, I progress to feel a little better with more energy. Although I had to drag myself, I made it to the gym. I was still able to get in 4 miles on the elliptical. I actually felt better after working out. Crazy how that happens.
